Byproduct of me making new Photoshop brushes for painting, so it turned out kind of random.

I was watching Arrietty on my tv and referenced some of the backgrounds from there (paused here and there and looked how the colors, clouds and leaves etc. were done, then made some brushes in a new canvas and tested them on this one). Studio Ghibli backgrounds are a great source of inspiration.

In the end my testing canvas looked kind of nice so I finished it.

There's such a warm and beautiful feeling you get, looking at the neighborhood and seeing the sun slowly setting. I like the subtle fragility and contentment from seeing the girl enjoying the waning light as well.
