Delphi Study

Hmmm... I've had this unfinished for such a long time on my harddisk now. So I just completed it as a warm up today (not as "finished" as I originally intended but I have other things to finish too).

It's a study of the Sibyl of Delphi from Michelangelo [link] [link] . I have a book with his art and I drew it from that reference with a few changes (especially background).

Michelangelo was a big influence on me to draw and paint when I was a kid (if fact I was such a big fan I read everything about him including poems he wrote). I painted an oil color version of her when I was fifteen but I don't know anymore where it is.

Done in MyPaint and Photoshop CS4.
